In one of the most beautiful areas of northern Spain in the Cantabria region, within the area where the Spanish language was historically born, in a small town strategically located between the mountains and the sea named Labarces, each year in the summer and during the months of July and August, takes place the most original and innovative Spanish courses for foreigners, organized by Orbelenguas.

The Spanish language immersion is carried out through continuous and daily recreational activities, and therefore primarily outdoors, with direct contact with the locals and a unique environment that will surely bring to mind the small village of Asterix. The guide always friendly and committed of two native teachers, a Latin American and a Spaniard, that will allow the student to meet both personal needs and preferences of regional speech enhancement and greater depth of its Spanish enrichment. This course is designed for personal enjoyment and the student's learning and improvement in the language, both being equally important as making the additional amount essential for the student. Orbelenguas professionals know that a solid learning experience should be grounded in reality rather than a theoretical study. We always offer the most comprehensive and interesting course of the market.

This is done through (1) cycling routes through the mountains and landscapes of great beauty, (2) visits to three nearby beaches where the student can enjoy their free choice of the sea and sun, these are the beaches of Oyambre, Comillas and San Vicente, (3) hiking up the mountain and (4) cultural visits to the amazing cave paintings of the surroundings and some of the most picturesque in the area, including villages such as Santillana del Mar .

All this together with the possibility of a more formal language study and revisions during evenings, having meals in common and in an environment of camaraderie with all our international students. All of which allow students not only get bored quickly and absorb the language but also enjoy an unforgettable experience that will withstand the coming winter by the mere idea of returning.

For the levels of Spanish for beginners is offered, if desired, extra support through everyday tasks and also personalized, Monday to Friday in the language, that is, linguistic explanations and exercises, and grammar.

This course offers 56 hours of Spanish per week (8 hours per day) and a constant vicinity with the teacher of 24 hours of each day, because these will always be open to solve any problem that may come up, and not just questions relative to the language; in short, we offer:

Daily training in Spanish and through Spanish: continuous conversation, solution to linguistic problems and difficulties arisen from the cultural origin of the pupil, a philosophical couching and advance techniques of motivation for improving the learning, a multifaceted immersion in the Spanish culture that include an everyday contrast between the differences of the Spanish of Latino America and of Spain.
Two motivated teachers, eager to help and proficient in a good number of other languages (English, French, Italian, Danish). Both have a long experience as professional teachers at every level.
Accommodation and breakfast included.
Excursions into the rich and close environment, to the beaches and forests, etc.
Daily routes of low and medium level (around 20 or 30 km) in MTT bicycle to spots of great beauty and free aquatic activities for all the participants.
An international atmosphere but within a community where only Spanish is regularly spoken.
Guide Tours to different historical sites of Cantabria.

The courses take place from the 1 july to the 31 of August in periods of one, two or more weeks.

The course does not include the basic sport material needed to take part into the bicycle routes (MTT or racing bike, clothes or accessory equipment). Nevertheless, we offer information and can direct those of you that want to acquire or hire the material in situ to the best shops nearby our location.

For those who wish to attend the course without taking part in some of our activities it is possible to organize alternatives of recreation, but we need you to specify this condition beforehand.

The booking is mandatory and will be discharge of the total amount on arrival. It is not an extra charge. The booking can be done through a bank transfer. The rest of the total amount can be paid through the bank or on cash on the first day of arrival.

No method of learning or interest in a language should make us to renounce to a real holidays. Orbelenguas is the only school that guarantee both things.
